Telomerization refers to a chemical reaction involving the addition of fragments of one molecule, which is called a telogen such as an alcohol, acetal, or chloroform, to the ends of a polymerizing olefin molecule (called a taxogen). The products of this reaction are called telomers.
Telomerization can be initiated by radical anionic or cationic systems.
