103 Melting Temperature (Tm) and Crystallization Temperature (Tc)
Tm is the temperature at which the ordered phase (crystalline regions) of a polymer (Figure 103.1) turns to the disordered phase. Amorphous polymers do not possess the melting point, but all polymers possess the glass transition temperature (Figure 103.2).
Tc is the temperature at which a crystallizable polymer can crystallize on cooling from melt.
