Photoactive polymer is a kind of stimulus-responsive polymer that is photo-responsible.
Some common photoactive groups are azobenzene, cinnamic acid, and coumarin derivatives.
Applications:
Photoactive polymers can be applied in broad areas such as microelectronic devices, photomechanical actuators, biomimetic systems, photocatalysts, photolithography, updatable holography, semiconductors for photovoltaic cells, optical storage, etc.
