I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
234 Vitrimers
Vitrimers are derived from thermosetting plastics. They consist of molecular, covalent networks, which can change their topology by thermally activated bond-exchange reactions.
Many commercial polymers, e.g. epoxy resins, polyesters, polylactides, polycarbonates, polydimethylsiloxanes, polydienes, polyurethanes, polyolefins, poly(meth)acrylates, and polystyrenes, have been used to produce vitrimers by utilizing different compatible bond-exchange reactions.
Applications:
Vitrimers are reprocessable or reversible thermosets that can help to reduce the white wastes. They are have a lot of potential in applications such as reprocessable composites, liquid-crystalline elastomers, actuators, shape-memory ...
