It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Why I Recommend You Set Your Flash to Manual Mode
Instead of relying on that flaky TTL, we’re going to do something that sounds hard but is actually way easier. We’re going to switch our flash to Manual mode, which simply means that now we control the power (brightness) of the flash (instead of the power being controlled by an autonomous AI that will one day connect itself to Skynet and turn against us, as all robots eventually do once they become self-aware, but I digress).
