I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Color Gels for Backgrounds
Besides the regular color correction gels (like those CTO gels), there are specialty gels for things like lighting backgrounds, and the colors are very bright and vivid. The ones shown above are from Rogue. They have a nice set of color effect gels in their Rogue Gels Universal Lighting Filter Kit, a set of 20 different color special effects gels, and they are ideal for lighting backgrounds. The whole set, including the gel band holder to attach them to your flash and a nice organizational wallet, is just $30. So worth it!
