Unless you’re shooting full-length fashion, where the clothes are the main subject, instead of the person, for the most part, we want our subject’s face to be the brightest part of the image. Our eyes are naturally drawn to the brightest part of the photo, so our subject’s face should draw our eye first. From there, the light should “fall off” as it goes lower.
