I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

STEP FIVE: Adding an Orange Gel
Check page 84 in this chapter for exactly why we put an orange gel over the flash on location (and page 86 for different ways to attach them) because you want to make darn sure you have at least a 1/4-cut of CTO over your flash before you even turn it on when you’re on location (and, if you just said, “What the heck is a quarter-cut of CTO?” that just means you need to go right now to page 84 and read why gels are so important).
TIP IF YOU DON’T HAVE A GEL, DO THIS
If you don’t have a gel for your flash, try setting your white balance to Cloudy. That will make the overall image warmer, and ...
