So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How High Up to Position Your Flash
Our goal is to mimic natural light and natural light comes from up in the sky. So, you want to position your light higher than your subject’s head, aiming down at an angle toward them. A good starting place is to aim it down at around a 45° angle. Gee, that was easy.
