I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
STEP NINE:
Turn Your Flash On and Take a Test Shot
You set your flash to 1/4 power back in Step Four, and now it’s time to see if that setting is too bright, too dark, or just right, and the only way to do that is to take a test shot. So, go ahead and do that. Now, let’s evaluate the brightness of your flash (see page 18 for more on your flash's power). Is it too bright? If it is, just lower its power (take it down –1/3 in power), then take another test shot. If that’s not enough, lower it another 1/3, and try again.
