This is one of my favorite tricks for getting a perfectly clean, simple background when I’m outdoors on location because, sometimes, finding that clean background is a needle-in-a-haystack thing (it seems like it would be easy finding a simple background, but you’d be surprised). My trick is to get down low (down on one knee, or literally lying on the ground), and that low angle makes the blue sky your background instead (or gray sky, if you live in Pittsburgh.
