If you want to mount a second flash (usually to the side or behind your subject), there are all sorts of methods to do this (in fact, there’s a whole cottage industry of second flash holders). It’s helpful to have more than one because you’ll never know what’s available to attach a flash to until you’re on location, and it’ll be too late if you don’t have a backup plan. One of the cheapest methods is to buy a spring clamp, so you can clamp a flash to a door or a window or just about anywhere you can clamp something onto.
