You’re going to set your flash to shoot in Manual mode, so you can control the power of the flash manually by simply turning the power up or down (instead of your flash making power decisions for you, which I’ve found it’s often not awesome at. See page 22 for more). So, set your flash to shoot in Manual (M) mode (weird thing: if you have a Phottix flash, you still set the flash to ETTL mode on the flash itself, but on the Phottix transmitter, on top of your camera, you set that to Manual mode, and now it controls the flash manually.
