I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

(6) Sometimes you have to buy stuff. This is not a book to sell you stuff, but before you move forward, understand that to get the kind of results you’re looking for, sometimes you have to buy some accessories—everything from light stands to tilt brackets to a diffuser or softbox. I use low-priced gear myself, so I always keep an eye on the budget throughout, and I search out great deals on stuff (it probably goes without saying, but the prices you see here in the book were the current prices on bhphotovideo.com or the manufacturer’s website when I wrote this and may have changed).
