This is a fairly popular “look,” and one that’s simple to pull off, yet has a lot of appeal (and looks great in the wedding album). When you’re doing your individual bridal portrait, place a flash on the ground, directly behind the bride, and tilted up toward her. Set it to 1/2 power and start by not lighting the front of the bride at all—just go for a backlit look. You may be able to crank up the power, but for now, just take a test shot and see how it looks.
