So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Using Canvas or Painted Backdrops
We’ve been mainly talking about seamless paper for shooting indoors, but that’s mostly because (1) it’s very inexpensive, (2) it comes in a ton of colors, and (3) you can get multiple looks from one color (see the previous page) simply by how you light it. However, when you’re ready to take things up a notch, you might want to consider getting a hand-painted canvas backdrop. They cost a bit more, but if you look around, you can find some incredible prices out there (in the $100 range or even less). Of course, the wider the background, the more they cost, but one source I’ve found that has pretty outrageous deals ...
