If you’re unhappy with the results you’re getting from your flash photography, and you showed me an example of a shot you didn’t like, it’s almost a lock that I’d say the problem is simply that your flash is too bright (like this shot above). It is the most common problem I see, and it’s a pretty significant problem because the whole idea behind using flash is not to make it look like you used a flash—it’s supposed to mimic natural light.
