If your reception is indoors, this is where you pull out that second or third flash (if you have them) to subtly light the whole room and support the flash you have on-camera, which is aiming straight up, or bouncing off the ceiling, or using a MagSphere. The thing that makes a big difference is using an extra flash (or two) to light the room. You take a bare-bulb flash, put it on a light stand up high (6 or 8 feet high), and place it in the corner of the room (out of the way), aiming straight up toward the ceiling (see page 126).
