I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

STEP TWO: Metering
Next, pretend like you don’t have a flash at all. So, turn off your flash unit for now, because we have to do some metering (don’t worry, it’s easy). You do have to do this part in manual mode (as always), because you have to start with your shutter speed set at 1/125 of a second (so, do that first). Now, with your flash still turned off, focus on your subject, and then look at the built-in meter you see inside your viewfinder. On some brands, this meter appears along the right side of the viewfinder, and in others, it’s along the bottom, so take a moment to figure out where it is on your particular camera. ...
