It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Effect of RESET# Or INIT# on a Previously-Loaded Update
The assertion of a hard reset (RESET#) to the processor deletes any Microcode Update image that had previously been loaded into the processor. The assertion of INIT#, however, has no effect on a previously-loaded update.
