In the P6 processor family, the power-on restart address could be configured on the trailing-edge of reset to be one of the following:
000FFFFF0h. This was the 8088-compatible startup address.
FFFFFFF0h.
Starting with the Pentium® 4 (and including the Pentium® M processor), the startup address is no longer configurable. The first instruction is always fetched from memory starting at location FFFFFFF0h.
