When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
HOW BRIGHT IS THE FUTURE OF OD?
The respondents were optimistic about the future of OD, and 88 percent rated the future as very bright or somewhat bright. Exhibit 41.2 lists many reasons for the optimism. Topping the list is “OD is spreading worldwide, with growing numbers of practitioners, conferences, and contributors to OD literature coming from all parts of the globe.”
It is, however, noteworthy that only 53 percent of the respondents rated the future very bright and that 12 percent rated the future not very bright or definitely not very bright. Many of the same concerns expressed are listed under the relevance of OD. Other concerns primarily had to do with the lack of cohesiveness of thinking in the field. Edgar Schein said, “It seems ...
