ARRAY OF ID INTERVENTIONS

To choose the anciently contested path of “via positiva” versus “via negativa” is an act of faith in life and in people. This focus on enhancing the strengths of others in ID interventions is intended to build positive psychological capital. As the leverage for change, it consists of future-oriented strategies, searching positive aspects, rather than diagnosing problems, working toward collaboration rather than competition. Such interventions have successfully brought about widespread attitudinal change in organizations and individuals. We briefly outline such interventions in Table 14.1.
