The list of major mistakes made by OD practitioners shown in Exhibit 41.5 is another valuable contribution made by the respondents. Many OD practitioners wish they would have had access to a list like this as they were practicing OD and had to learn the hard way about what to do and what not to do. Topping the list is being well educated and trained in OD, and ending the list is continued personal and professional growth and development and staying up-to-date with the latest OD thinking and practices. It is what we teach and encourage, but don’t always practice.
