I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
HOW DOES OD ALIGN WITH HR?
Organization development is fundamentally about change. Yet most of the policy levers for affecting change with people in organizational settings reside in the HR function. After all, HR tends to coordinate the policies and procedures for recruiting people, selecting people, orienting and training people, preparing people for promotion and for job transfers, compensating people, providing compensation adequate to maintain organizational competitiveness in external labor markets and internal equity across jobs inside the firm, planning for succession, reviewing current performance through performance management systems, and maintaining a work climate that encourages employee engagement and empowerment.
