THEORETICAL FOUNDATION OF THE BOOK

This book is based on OD practitioners’ and scholars’ research activities, including those consultants functioning as internal or external OD change agents or organizational leaders applying OD theories, methods, and tools. The current research results appear on the Organization Development Network (ODN) website. Earlier drafts of this research study on the competencies of OD consultants appeared as early as 1990 in OD Practitioner (McLean & Sullivan, 1990) and, even before that, in an earlier draft of “Essential Competencies of Internal and External OD Consultants.”
