It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Mouse Pad
You’ve surely seen or have a mouse pad, a small pad to put on your desk to roll the mouse across. The pad has nothing to do with the operation of the mouse, really—the mouse will work just fine without a pad. The purpose of a mouse pad is simply to provide better traction and a clear spot on your desk for the mouse. You can use a book, illustration board, a coaster, paper, or even just the deskop.
