I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
The Basic Dock
Below is a typical Dock with brief explanations of what each item does and where you can find more information about it. Items marked with an asterisk (*) will automatically connect you to the Internet (if your connection has been set up and is ready to go; if not, see Chapter 30).
Every now and then one of your Dock icons might turn into a question mark or the generic OS X icon. Drag the question mark out of the Dock and replace it with the original item, as explained on the opposite page. The generic icon is okay. It still works just the same, and when you restart your Mac, your real icon will probably come back.
