When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Preferences
Most of the options in Preferences are self-explanatory, but here are a few tips:
Accounts: If you have several accounts set up, as described on the previous page, you may want to select a particular account before you actually go online. You can save a couple of steps if you do this:
1. | Open the iChat Preferences, then click the “Accounts” icon in the toolbar.
|
2. | Uncheck the box, “When iChat opens, automatically log in.” Close the window.
|
3. | Next time you open iChat, you will not be logged in, so open Preferences and choose an account from the “Screen Name” pop-up menu. Close Preferences.
|
4. | Go to the File menu and choose, “Log Into AIM.”
