When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Allocate Memory to Classic Applications
Mac OS X manages memory very well. In the Classic environment, Mac OS 9 is not so good at it. If a particular Classic application crashes regularly, it might be because it needs more RAM (random access memory) to accomplish what you’re trying to do. If you don’t have a lot of RAM (like 256 megabytes or less), don’t try to open more than one or two applications in Classic. If you have plenty of RAM (or at least plenty for your most-used applications), you can allocate more memory to your Classic applications. (It’s not possible, nor is it necessary, to allocate more memory to OS X applications.)
