Practice What You Learned
In TextEdit or your favorite word processor, type the text below, or make up your own. Just type it in as you see it, with double Returns after each paragraph, then format it as you see on the opposite page.
To type the bullet (•), hold down the Option key and type the number 8 on the keyboard (not the number 8 in the numeric keypad).
Remember, when formatting on the opposite page, that every paragraph has its own ruler settings. That is, you can select the first paragraph, click the centered alignment button, and it doesn’t affect any other text on the page.
