With the application iTunes, you can play not only music or other audio files on your Mac, you can create a Playlist of selected songs from any number of your own music CDs or downloaded MP3 files. iTunes will go to the Internet and find all the information about each song on your CD (like artist, title, length of song, etc.), then add that information to your Playlist. Use iTunes to manage your music collection, play wild visuals on the screen in time with the music, encode music files from one format to another, burn music CDs of your selected collection of music that you can then use anywhere, and copy MP3 files directly to your MP3 player or iPod.
