I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
If You Have an America Online Account
If you have or plan to have an America Online account (AOL), you do not need to do anything to set up your Mac for the Internet—you can skip most of this chapter. You do not need to go through the Internet setup process, find a provider (AOL is your provider, as well as an online service, as explained on pages 493–495), or anything. To sign up for America Online, just plug the phone line into your Mac, put the AOL CD in your drive, double-click it, and follow the directions to set up a dial-up account. If you don’t have a CD, call AOL at 1-800-509-7538 and have them send you one.
