When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Classic and Mac OS X Together
When you open a Classic application, the Dock will keep you linked to Mac OS X, as you can see in the example below. Even if you choose to hide the Dock, when you move your mouse into that area the Dock will appear, even while you work in the Classic environment. It’s great. You can jump back and forth all day long with the click of a button.
Here on my monitor you can see the Dock from Mac OS X, with my pages open in InDesign 1.5 in the Classic environment (although now I use version 2.0 in OS X). I hold down the Option key and click on the Finder icon in the Dock, and instantly I’m back in OS X and InDesign is hidden (it’s hidden because I hold down the Option key when I clicked on the Finder icon).
