When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Shut Down
From the Apple menu, choose Shut Down. All open applications will quit, any extra hard disks will unmount, you will be disconnected from any servers you were connected to, and the Mac will automatically turn its own power off.
There are several ways to Shut Down, depending on the Mac you have.
If you have a G3 or G4 tower, you can usually push the Power button in and hold it to the count of five to Shut Down. You won’t get any warning message unless you have unsaved documents still open. (Push this button for one second to put the Mac to Sleep instead of Shut Down.)
This works on Macs that have an Eject Media key in the upper-right of the keyboard, including laptops: Hold the Control key and press the Eject Media key. You’ll get the ...
