Selecting Multiple Files in Column View

The Column View gives you the impression you can select files from different columns, but you can’t. Column View is a cross between Icon View and List View, as far as selecting items goes.

To select multiple individual files in one column, hold down the Command key and click on each one.

To select contiguous files in one column, press-and-drag to draw the selection marquee around the files. Any file even partially enclosed by the marquee will be selected.

OR click on the first item in the list, then hold down the Shift key and click on the last item in the list. All files between the first click and the Shift-click will be selected.
