Administrative Improvements
Overall, features available to SharePoint administrators have been improved. The Central Administration user interface has been streamlined and made more visually intuitive. With it you can perform regular administrative tasks such as managing Web application security, configuring, monitoring and analyzing, and managing Service Applications.
The Shared Services Provider (SSP) previously included as part of the administrative interface in SharePoint Server 2007 no longer exists in SharePoint 2010.
