It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Troubleshooting Master Pages
When a user accesses a SharePoint 2010 site in the browser, where there’s a problem with the site’s master page, an error dialog and a Correlation ID number display (see Figure 17.6). The Correlation ID number is logged to a log file in the LOGS directory on the SharePoint Web front-end server at the following location:
%SystemDrive%\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS.
