So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Working with Task Actions in Workflows
As discussed earlier in this chapter, SharePoint 2010 gives you the capability to customize the out-of-the-box workflows. Using the same capabilities, we are able to leverage task actions within workflows to assist with the creation and approval of items in SharePoint. Of the task actions, three of them are extremely powerful and can save you a lot of time when creating workflows. These include
• Start Approval Process
• Start Feedback Process
• Start Custom Task Process
The Approval and Feedback task actions work out of the box and enable you to collect feedback or approval on documents or items included as part of a workflow. You can customize these actions in the browser or by using SharePoint Designer. ...
