Introducing Data Sources
There are numerous ways to integrate and work with both external and internal data sources in SharePoint 2010. For example, the lists and document libraries you create within SharePoint sites are internal data sources, the data from which we can manipulate and present in numerous ways. You can achieve external data source integration through multiple avenues, including
• Access Services: Provides the ability to publish Access 2010 databases, including tables, forms and macros, to SharePoint. Users may then access and update data without the need for the Access client.
• Visio Services: Provides the ability to hook up to back-end data and then publish that data, along with a visual representation, into SharePoint.
