Sites
SharePoint 2010 sites provide the basis for securely storing and retrieving content and documents in an easy and flexible way. Sites include mechanisms for seamlessly connecting with Microsoft Office client applications, creating powerful dashboards and presenting data in a multitude of ways. Sites can range from corporate portals for an Internet site, to project team sites as part of an intranet deployment, to personal sites, known as MySites in SharePoint Server 2010.
