It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
XLVs and DFWPs Working Together
As mentioned in Chapter 22, there is some crossover between XLVs and DFWPs and this section describes how both Web parts can work together to create functional pages in SharePoint sites, including dashboard and data entry pages. You also find out about limitations of working with XLV Web part connections compared to Web part connections using DFWPs.
