I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Working with the Content Query Web Part (CQWP)
The CQWP is part of the content management feature set available in SharePoint Server 2010. Using the CQWP, you can aggregate, or roll up, content throughout a SharePoint Server 2010 site collection and display and present the aggregated content onto a single page, such as the home page of a site—without code! Typical uses of the CQWP include creating news archives and aggregating content based on the same content type into a single view for easy access.
The main strength of the CQWP is in adding it to a single (publishing) page layout and configuring the Web part’s queries and filtering to add consistent aggregated data on any publishing pages provisioned from the page layout. This means that you ...
