I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Working with Content Types
SharePoint Designer 2010 is unlike SharePoint Designer 2007 in that you are able to access and manage existing content types and add new content types to sites. This means less dependency on working between both the browser and SharePoint Designer when customizing and designing sites. However, as you will discover throughout this chapter, it does not mean that you can totally avoid using the Web interface when working with and configuring content types. For instance, there are several settings that you can only access via the Web interface when configuring content types, such as information management policy settings.
