So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Customizing Your List Forms
When working with list forms, there are many cases where you might want to customize the form. You could do this to add or change the field name, add instructions to assist the user completing the form, or just to make it look more appealing to the user. You can customize the forms in External Lists the same as any other list in SharePoint Server 2010 using InfoPath Designer 2010.
Note
The option to replace list forms with InfoPath 2010 forms is only available in SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise version.
