Unlike creating pages via the Web interface, using SharePoint Designer you can create new ASPX pages and then build and design those pages from scratch. You can create new ASPX pages from multiple locations in SharePoint Designer. However, to help maintain consistency, we generally recommend those pages be created within a Wiki Page library, such as Site Pages.
To create a new ASPX page, navigate to the site’s Site Pages library and click the Page command in the ribbon’s New group. Click ASPX, as shown in Figure 12.16.
