I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
What If You Cannot See the Page Layouts Object?
If you open your site in SharePoint Designer and cannot see Page Layouts in the left-hand menu the most likely reason is that you have not activated the publishing Feature on the site. You need to ensure that the publishing Feature is activated on both the site collection and the actual subsite (Web). Figure 15.17 shows the name of the site collection publishing Feature, specifically the SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure Feature. This Feature makes publishing functionality available to the entire site collection and must be activated before the publishing Feature can be activated on any subsites within a site collection.
