So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
BCS Functional Differences
As discussed earlier in this chapter, BCS is now available in both SharePoint Server 2010 and SharePoint Foundation 2010. This is a great enhancement to the SharePoint Foundation product for those not planning on moving to the Server product. Users should be aware, however, that there are some fundamental differences between the two products when working with BCS. The differences are most obvious when you’re trying to take External List data offline using either SharePoint Workspace or Outlook. Table 20.1 highlights the key differences.
