Where a list includes multiple content types you may choose to only customize a single content type with an InfoPath form. InfoPath and ASPX list forms can coexist in a list. A problem can occur where you’ve previously customized ASPX list forms in a list.
Where you’ve already customized ASPX list forms, using the process outlined in Chapter 25, and set those forms as the default forms for a list, subsequently customizing the same forms with InfoPath results in the continued use of the custom ASPX forms.
