I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Hiding Page Layouts
Several of the legacy page layouts in SharePoint Server 2010 are hidden attribute by default. Rather than deleting page layouts, you can instead choose to hide them by checking the hidden attribute in the Page Layout Properties dialog (via the site collection’s Master Page Gallery).
If you hide a page layout that currently has dependencies then existing publishing pages continue to function. However, the option to create new publishing pages from the same page layout is no longer available.
